Our student living community boasts an unbeatable location in the heart of Tampa, placing residents just a short walk away from the University of South Florida’s campus. From our off-campus housing near USF, students can quickly and easily reach class, whether they prefer walking, biking, or driving. Since USF is a commuter-friendly school, it’s relatively easy for freshmen to bring their cars to college and branch out further than just locations within walking distance.

Freshmen at the University of South Florida rely heavily on these destinations throughout the week. Whether it’s time to lock in and study, work out, run errands, or socialize, our Tampa student apartments are just a short walk, bike, or drive away from the following campus and downtown buildings. Public transportation also makes these spots easily accessible, with multiple stops of the Bull Runner shuttle located within walking distance of The Retreat at Tampa.
Freshmen can quickly walk, bike, bus, or drive to the Marshall Student Center from The Retreat at Tampa. This keeps quick dining, student resources, and study space nearby.
We are closest to the library, which is definitely a space a lot of students find themselves using more than they expect. The USF Library features a Starbucks, plenty of seating, and a variety of academic resources.
Residents of our off-campus housing frequently visit friends at the on-campus freshman residence halls, also known as The Village.
Freshmen are bound to spend most of their time on campus, making dining halls a common stop before, between, or after classes. The Hub is located along the north side of campus, while the Argos is closer to home, located just a short walk north of the USF Library.
The Marshall Student Center Plaza, which hosts many USF student events throughout the year, is also close to The Retreat at Tampa. Common events held at this spot include club fairs, markets, and more.
The Martin Luther King Plaza is a popular outdoor hangout spot close to the library, class, and home. Students often go here to hang out outside with friends or for student activism events.
The USF Judy Genshaft Honors College is particularly close to the Retreat at Tampa. This is especially convenient for our freshmen honors students.
While our residents tend to spend a majority of their workout time in our on-site gym, the USF Recreation & Wellness Center, which offers more advanced classes, sports courts, and specialized athletic facilities, is just a short distance away.
Students frequently visit the restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, and casual hangout spots along Fowler Avenue, which is just a short walk away from our property.
Florida is well-known for its theme parks, and Tampa is no exception! Our residents love taking advantage of our close proximity to Busch Gardens for some weekend fun.
